A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. On same parcel as 505 W. Mitchell St (AHI 111374) Paul Noe hired architect Alfred C. Clas in 1888 to design this building for his meat market business. Noe and his family lived in the upstairs quarters while he operated his meat market until at least 1935. By 1940, his son Hiram had taken over the business and stayed there until around 1950. The building was the site of Dennis Pavloich’s flower shop in 1960.
