Additional Comments
The storefront fenestration appears to have been altered c. 1940. Replacement windows. 2023: Building built by the G.F. Sanborn company and considered the "new" Sanborn building, as they also, at that time, owned the building next door to the east at 115 E. Wall Street. The original first-floor tenant was the Farmers & Merchants Bank, which had relocated there in 1922 from 118 E. Wall Street. Following the stock market crash and the national banking holiday, the bank did not reopen. In June 1933, the Estelle dress shop (owned by Estelle Frankel, Moses Frankel's daughter-in-law) moved from 104 E Wall Street to the former bank space.
