ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Excellent example of an Art Moderne radio television station in nearly original condition. Note smooth stone wall surfaces, rounded corners, and rounded elements of entranceway. Compare with stations shown on pages 56-58 of reference 2. Construction date, 1941. (1) Dahlman Cnst., Builder. WKTI (94.5) was, at the time of this documentation (1979) a top-40 / AOR FM station owned by the Journal Broadcast Group. |
