roof. The front elevation faces southeast and is asymmetrical in plan with a door recessed in a bank of shop windows and
a second individual door at the eastern end. The second-story contains two pairs of 3-over-1 windows and a single 3-
over-1 window. A stone panel at the center of the facade just below the roofline reads "1923." Stone veneer is located
along the wall below the front shop windows. Above the shop windows and doors is a horizontal signboard that reads
"JOHNSON PUBLIC HOUSE."
The interior of the building contains a drop ceiling and part of an original metal ceiling with refinished wood flooring and
modern installations. Originally a retail shop, the building was adapted for use as a laundromat in the 1970s or 1980s and
currently functions as a cafe.
Resurveyed August 2012; changes include the removal of an older signboard immediately below the second-story windows.
