William Augustus Prentiss

Quarter-length oval portrait of William Augustus Prentiss. He was born in Northfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts on March 24, 1799. He came to Wisconsin in June of 1836, and resided in Milwaukee where he served as mayor from 1858 to 1859.
