Plan of the Operations of General Washington, Against the Kings Troops in New Jersey, from the 26th, of December, 1776, to the 3d. January 1777

Map

This map shows the area from Newtown, Pennsylvania to Kingston, New Jersey, with routes and battles of British (red) and American forces (blue). The map includes cities, roads, ferries, hills, rivers, waterfalls, and creeks. Much of the map centers on General George Washington's crossing of the Delaware and attack on the Hessians under Colonel Johann Rall in Trenton. Notes throughout the map explain the camps, battles, and movement of troops, along with dates. Two blocks of text in the lower right and left corners list the number and ranks of casualties (killed, wounded, or missing) in the battles on the road from Prince Town to Maidenhead (Battle of Princeton on January 3rd, 1777), and at Trenton (Battle of Trenton on December 26th, 1776).
