Carte Contenant le Royaume du Mexique et la Floride: Dressez sur les Meilleures Observations & sur les Mémoires les plus Nouveaux

Map

This map of North America shows political boundaries, Native American land and grand villages, cities, towns, ports, rivers, mines, and other notable physical features. It covers most of the continent, from New France and New England in the north, to the Sea of California in the west, and to the northwest coast of South America in the south, including all of New Spain and the West Indies. "Floride" encompasses the modern-day southeastern states and the majority of modern-day Texas and Oklahoma. Mountains and some settlements appear pictorially. A block of text, "Remarque," sits in the bottom, and contains notes on Mexico and Florida. All of the Great Lakes except Lake Superior are shown and labeled, though "Lake Illinois" replaces Lake Michigan, and "Lake Michigane" replaces Lake Huron.
