Miss Barbara Kiechler, identified as a 4-H Club worker in Coon Valley, posing on a low wall surrounding the Grotto of the Holy Family on the grounds of Villa St. Joseph, a convent. A mosaic stone flagpole and flag stand behind her. In the background is the stone convent building, and beyond that, a barn and silo. The convent was established by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in 1898. The grotto was built 1925-1930 by Father Paul Dobberstein.
