Slightly elevated view of the front gate at the Wisconsin State Prison, taken from inside the prison grounds. In the foreground is the walkway to the gate lined with plants in large planters, which are shaped like vases on pedestals. Caption reads: "Front Gate, Wis. State Prison, Waupun, Wis." The postcard was sent to Mr. Elmer Kruschke of Burnett, Wis, from M. Anithor [sp?], who wrote: "This is where they shut the bad boys up."
