Pewaukee Lake Mills

View of Pewaukee Lake Mills. Asa Clark, a Vermont pioneer who settled in the town of Pewaukee in 1837, erected a sawmill in 1838 at the outlet of the lake. In 1845 he erected a three-story stone flour mill. In 1854, Benjamin Boorman bought it and later enlarged it. At one time his sons ran a cracker factory in conjunction with the mill. After standing empty for many years it was razed in 1927.
