Governor Thompson Boosts Amtrak

Tommy G. Thompson, governor of Wisconsin and an enthusiastic member of the Amtrak governing board, salutes the expansion of Hiawatha service between Chicago and Milwaukee. The expansion was underwritten by Wisconsin and Illinois. Also taking part in this event is Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist, second from the right.
