Building the Bathhouse

Image

Men wearing hats and long overcoats are walking toward the camera from the bathhouse at Devil's Lake State Park. Other men in work clothes, members of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), are working on the building. Two men are on the roof; others are working on the ground shoveling and sifting piles of aggregate. There are no leaves on the trees. The East Bluff is in the background and there is a glimpse of the lake on the right. On the reverse of the print is written: "State Foresters inspecting the new bath house [sic] under construction at Devil's Lake."
