Grist Mill
Image
Man posed standing on a bank in front of the grist mill located on Squaw Creek, probably operated by Narracong and later Loesching, and then possibly Johnson. There was a carding mill about half a mile downstream on the John Hanson farm until about 1905, then another half mile downstream was the Charter Oak Mill. The Narracong Mill was the most famous, and later became a night club.
