Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry

Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry seated in a chair holding a sword. Perry was the commander for the United States Naval Forces during the Battle of Lake Erie. The battle was an American Victory and was vital to maintaining control of the Great Lakes during the War of 1812. Written at the bottom of the image is "Don't give up the ship".
