Pliny Norcross

Waist-up portrait of Captain Pliny Norcross from La Grange, Wisconsin. At the start of the Civil War he enlisted with Company K, 1st Wisconsin Infantry, for a three-month service term as a 3rd Sergeant. When he was mustered out of service on August 21, 1861, he held the rank of Corporal. On October 30, 1861 he re-entered military service with the 13th Wisconsin Infantry as the Captain of Company K. He was finally mustered out of service on November 18, 1864.
