Shagbark Hickory
Image
A tall, shagbark hickory standing alone on a small island in the middle of Edgewood Drive near its west end. A woman walking in the roadway is dwarfed by the tall tree. There is snow on the ground. As of 2007, the trunk of the tree was still standing, although the main leader had been lost and only the lower branch on the right remained.
