Waist-up oval studio portrait of Knud Olson Dokken [as written on photograph backing and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20; also as Knud Olson on published rosters: Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers, Volume 1 (1886) and Wisconsin Volunteers (1914)], a private in Company H, 15th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform holding a musket across his chest. He died on Island No. 10, Tennessee of disease and was buried in a cemetery near Memphis, Tennessee.
