Horace Hill, Pete Brandenberg, and unidentified children at the Beloit Airport with a Canuck airplane rebuilt by Allen Loveland. Surplus Canucks, as the Curtiss planes built in Canada during World War I were known, were inexpensive and plentiful in Wisconsin. These conditions had much to do with the growth of interest in aviation during the 1920s.
