Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Schoebel Barn — Exterior

This barn, owned by Ken and LaVerne Schoebel, is at W280 West Bend Rd (Section 24). This barn has been in the Schoebel family for 148 years.

Ken and LaVerne Schoebel have firewood stored in their barn. They will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 16, 2004.

The interior of the Schoebel barn is immaculate. The last cows milked here was in 1988. Ken was born on the property in 1931.
Steger Barn
2004
Vernon and Catherine Steger live at N8609 Lone Road. In 1988 their farm was recognized as a Century Farm.
Paul or Schoebel Barns — Alternate View

These barn buildings are owned by Ken Schoebel, who lives up the West Bend Road.
