Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Schwertz Barn — Exterior

This barn belongs to Richard Schwertz, who lives at N9216 Cty Trk WT (Section 7).
Hoepner Barn — Exterior
2004
The Hoepners moved here in April 1967. The last time cows were milked here was in 1966.
Haddy Barn and Sprint Car
2004
The Haddys are famous in local dirt track racing. Their son, Tim, kneels in front of a sprint car.
Nickel Barn — Alternate View

This barn on the Nickel farm was built in 1919 by Ed Radke. The Nickels are still milking 50 cows.
Caspary Barn — Exterior

Joe and Carol Caspary live at W9473 Zion Church Rd (Section 34).
Lifke Barn — Exterior
2004
Mark and Eileen Lifke operate a working farm at W1873 Allen Rd (Section 29). They currently milk 55 cows. The Lifkes have lived here for 22 years.
