Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Lifke Barn — Exterior

Mark and Eileen Lifke operate a working farm at W1873 Allen Rd (Section 29). They currently milk 55 cows. The Lifkes have lived here for 22 years.
Mork Farm

The Mork property is landlocked. Laura has to drive on a neighbors property to reach Hwy 175.
Staiduhar Barn — South View

This is the Staiduhar barn from the south. Bill Staiduhar is a retired Harley Davidson employee.
Bonack Barn — Alternate View

Don Bonack's parents, Gilbert and Arlene, purchased this farm in 1955.
Grulke Barn — Exterior
2004
Fritz and Sandy Grulke live at W1810 McArthur Rd (Section 17). They have lived here since they were married in 1969.
Steger Barn — Exterior
2004
Ronald and Kathleen Steger, who refused to be in the picture, live at W2372 McArthur Rd (Section 18). They lived here 31 years and last milked cows on July 22, 2004.
