Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Koll Barn — Interior
circa 2000-2009
Paul and Evangeline Koll have 27 stanchions in their barn. They ceased milking cows May 26, 1988.
Weninger Barn — Exterior
2004
Rosie Weninger stands in front of this barn at W371 Allen Road (section 25). Rosie's husband, Myron, passed away August 21, 2001. Myron's grandfather, George, had this barn built in 1898.
Huettner Barn — Alternate View

David Huettner and wife, Karen, milked the last cows in 1998.
Beck Barn — Alternate View
2004
Milan Beck purchased this property in 1973. Cows were milked here last in 1967.
Schoebel Barn — Interior
2004
The interior of the Schoebel barn is immaculate. The last cows milked here was in 1988. Ken was born on the property in 1931.
Zastrow Barn — Interior
2004
Wally and Bonita Zastrow, who moved here in 2000, have a workshop in the loft of their barn. Elmer and Meta Zastrow were previous owners, and cows were last milked here in 1930.
