The Steinbach farm was purchased by Emil Steinbach from his uncle Car Schley in 1899. He passed the property to Arnold, the father of Bill and Werner, the present owners.

Bill and Werner Steinbach pose in front of this barn, built in 1924. The barn is at W2288 Gill Road. The last time cows were milked here was in November, 1987.
