"Forward" Statue

The bronze statue "Forward" stood on the North Hamilton walkway to the Wisconsin State Capitol when this picture was taken. The statue, created by sculptress Jean Pond Miner for the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, symbolizes the spirit of Wisconsin and was given the state motto for its name.
