Promotional card created to advertize land in northern WisconsinCaption: STREET SCENE IN MEDFORD, TAYLOR COUNTY, WISCONSIN. - This view of one of the business streets of Medford will perhaps serve to give some idea of the commercial importance of this enterprising city. Medford is the county seat of Taylor County, and has a population of something over 2,000, being surrounded by one of the most magnificent farming counties in the State. It will always continue to be a growing business center. Business enterprises of various kinds are being established continuously, There are here a large tannery, a saw mill, stave and heading factory, excelsior factory, roller flour mill, brewery, cheese factory, two state banks, good schools and several churches of various denominations.
