East Prussian refugees whose homes had been burned by Russian troops and who are living in railroad cars.
Requisitioned Animals
circa 1910-1919
Requisitioned animals. The oxen are first used as draft animals and when meat supplies run low are slaughtered for food. The horses are protected and cared for.
