Storm Damage

The wrecked water slide and sections of the swimming pier litter the shore and shallow water of Pine Lake at the Herbert P. Brumder summer home. Trees along the shore are still standing and obscure the view of the bath house at far left. Newspapers at the time of the storm, which occurred September 14, 1931, describe winds of 65 miles per hour causing extensive damage in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha and Washington Counties.
