At the Tunnel Tree

Edward J. Brumder and his wife, Marion Briggs Brumder, posing while leaning against a 1939 Studebaker Commander parked in front of the Wawona Tunnel Tree. A sign identifying the tree reads: "WAWONA 26' THROUGH OPENING — CUT IN 1881." The tree stood in the Mariposa Sequoia Grove in Yosemite National Park until it fell under the weight of snow in 1969.
