Emma and Elsa were daughters of Conrad Seipp, Chicago brewer and founder of Black Point Estate. William O. Petersen donated the estate to the State of Wisconsin in 2005.

Ernst Schmidt (1893-1977) and Jean Happich sail the boat "Illiola." Schmidt was a grandson of Chicago brewer Conrad Seipp, who established Black Point Estate in 1888.
