Madison supporters of the Presidential candidacy of Dwight Eisenhower at campaign headquarters. Eisenhower had not yet formally declared his candidacy. Although not anxious to enter politics, Eisenhower was persuaded to do so by those who feared the isolationist foreign policy that a Taft presidency would bring.
