Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
P & R Coal Storage Yard

Lukens Steel Company
Lukens Steel Company was founded in 1810, and was the largest employer in Chester County in the 1960s, with over 10,000 workers.
Plant Number One of Lime Industries
The American Lime and Stone Company, Plant Number One. It was founded in 1901. Caption reads: "No. 1 Plant of the Famous Lime Industries, Bellefonte, PA."
