Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Railroad Bridge
Black River Falls and the bridge spanning it, probably the second railroad bridge.
Men Repairing Street
Men filling in Main Street after the 1911 flood. Forms are probably for the basement of the Cozy Corner Tavern.
Train Crossing Railroad Bridge
Freight train crossing river on a bridge north of Black River Falls.
Broken Pontoon Bridge
Elevated view of a pontoon bridge at Fillmore Street in Black River Falls built by the railroad. It had broken apart and was later repaired.
Log Jam under Hatfield Wagon Bridge
Men working to break up a log jam under the Hatfield Wagon Bridge. This is the original Hatfield Bridge, destroyed when the Hatfield Dam failed in the flood of 1911.
