Old World Wisconsin Celebrates Independence Day Weekend, July 6 and 7
Set in a 19th-century village, guests can indulge in a hometown parade, join a pie-eating contest and batter up at a historic baseball demonstration

EAGLE, Wis. – An old-fashioned Independence Day Weekend, filled with fun and games and a live brass band, will take place at Old World Wisconsin on July 6 and 7. Guests can participate in the popular pie-eating contest returning for the 2024 event, play games like historic baseball and hoop and stick, listen to a reading of the Declaration of Independence while enjoying a picnic on the shady Village Grove, and more.
"Celebrating Independence Day in our historic village is a nostalgic tribute to our early heritage," said Maria Comiskey, general manager of experiences and events at Old World Wisconsin. "It’s a festive weekend where friends and family can indulge in good old-fashioned fun, and even meet the ‘mayor’ of our authentic 19th-century Crossroads Village."
Independence Day Weekend is sponsored by the Old World Foundation and this special program is included in the cost of general admission. Tickets are $20 for adults and teens, $18 for senior citizens, $13 for children, and admission is free for children under 5. The site will have a picnic lunch available for purchase. Old World Wisconsin will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 6-7, 2024.

Wisconsin Historical Society members receive FREE general admission to Old World Wisconsin and a 10% discount on ticketed events. Please note, Old World Wisconsin will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 4.
