Enjoy Fall Frights and Delights at Old World Wisconsin’s Halloween Legends and Lore
Explore the NEW one-acre sorghum maze, encounter ghostly figures from days gone by, and be mesmerized by Victorian séances and tales of Wisconsin’s most famous legends
EAGLE, Wis. – Halloween Legends and Lore is returning to Old World Wisconsin this October with ghostly adventures, terrific treats and frightful fun for the whole family to enjoy. On Oct. 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26, take in the vibrant fall colors of the surrounding Kettle Moraine Forest as the sun sets and explore the historic Crossroads Village with lively storytelling, spirited games, costumed performances and spooky fun around every corner!
“Halloween Legends and Lore is an experience that goes well above and beyond your typical haunted house,” said Maria Comiskey, Old World Wisconsin’s general manager of experiences and events. “The experience packs in all the Halloween fun you want, but with a historical twist you can’t get anywhere else. Our guests love exploring the rustic country setting with a chill in the air and engaging with traditions and legends of the past.”
Guests can explore a lantern-lit sorghum maze, take a guided tour in search of Wisconsin’s infamous Hodag creature, watch folktales come to life through live performances and much more at this favorite annual event. Check out photo op stations throughout the village and watch out for wandering characters—you never know who (or what) is lurking in the shadows!
Adults are invited to stop by the Brewhouse to taste a limited-edition beer brewed in collaboration with Duesterbeck’s along with other fall favorites from local breweries. After building up an appetite, head to Caldwell Hall for a hot bite or swing by the creamery for ice cream available in a mouthwatering variety of fall flavors.
Don’t forget to swing by the Ramsey Barn gift shop for exclusive Legends and Lore merchandise including glow-in-the-dark wearables and limited edition koozies. Sponsored by the Old World Foundation and WaterStone Bank, Halloween Legends and Lore takes place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and $17 for children.
