| Additional Information: | 2023: This c.1895 Queen Anne residence is two-and-one-half stories with a rectangular plan, cross-gable roof, stone foundation, and wood clapboard and shingle cladding. The front (west) facade has a multi-light, wood-paneled door and transom leading to an enclosed front porch that extends along the side (south) elevation. The porch has a flat roof and four-over-one double-hung windows. The northern corner of the front (west) facade has a projecting front gable with sawcut shingles, a cutaway bay with a picture window on the first story, paired double-hung windows with brackets on the second story, and a fixed narrow window with divided lights on the attic level. The intersection of the front (west) facade and side (south) elevation is a second-story tower with sawcut shingles, brackets, a fixed multi-light window, and a double-hung window. It is topped with a metal weathervane. The side (south) elevation also features a box bay with fixed windows, wood paneling, and a second-story balcony with modern glass doors. The rear portion of the south elevation as a ramp leading to a secondary entrance. The opposite side (north) elevation has one-over-one, double-hung and octagonal windows. The rear portion of the north elevation also has a glass entrance door leading into an enclosed porch. The house has a brick chimney and a boxed chimney. Alterations include replacement windows, the second-story balcony and door, rear addition, and enclosure of the front porch. |
