NOTES
Additional Information:Previously surveyed in 1986.

Built for C.A. Schulz probably in the 1870s and used as a residence, harness shop and various other business throughout its history, this one and a half story building is composed of one flat roofed building, one gable roofed building and a small annex on the south side. A false front with six over six windows placed directly under the projecting cornice characterize the facade.

The Schulz Building has suffered a great deal of alteration including the addition of asphalt siding to the facade, vertical siding to the south elevation and a completely remodeled storefront.

The Schulz Building has an enclosed porch at the north end of the rear and a concrete block extension on the south end of the rear of the building.

The C.W. Schulz Building has suffered extensive alteration over the years, mainly through the addition of siding and complete alteration of the storefront. However, because the building has retained the wooden false front and six over six windows on the upper facade, the Schulz Building contributes in a minimal way to the historic character of the historic district.
