| Additional Information: | This two-story Queen Anne house was built c.1870. The house is a gabled ell plan with clapboard walls and a new metal-clad gable roof. The front elevation faces east and is asymmetrical in plan with a one-story entry porch located that wraps around the front-gabled facade; the porch has turned wood supports, railings, and bargeboards. Decorative wood shingles are located in the front and side gables; the front gable also features scroll-cut bargeboards. Windows are 1- over-1 with the exception of a large picture window inside the porch and a small leaded-glass window. The house is in good condition and retains a moderate degree of integrity. Although the house displays several features associated with Queen Anne architecture (turned wood porch detailing, decorative shingles and bargeboards), its insensitive green metal roof alters the original aesthetic of the building and diminishes its architectural integrity. |
