| Additional Information: | Built in c. 1895 (See Bib. Ref. A), this two-story Queen Anne styled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, an even stone foundation, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shinlged hip roof. Intersecting with the main roof in the front is an attic-story gabled dormer, designed with a pent roof. A string course of decorative fishscale shingles continues all along the house, visually separating the first form the second story. A two-story three sided bay appears at the side elevation. The open designed front porch has its shed roof supported by slender Tuscan columns. A transom window appears above the front door. The building is in good condition. Individuals associated with this dwelling and the dates of their assoications include the following: Alfred Penhallegon, from 1895 to 1900; and Walter Benson, from 1905 to 1925. (See Bib. Ref. A). |
