It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Very fine example of a Craftsman feature relatively flat gabled roof with wide overhanging eaves and knee braces. Main roof structure extends to become porch roof and also features a shed roof dormer. The front porch also features a gable roof with knee braces. All roofs have exposed rafter ends. There is a shed roof over a side rectilinear bay window.d The large veranda stretches across the full front of the house and features battered brick piers and a wooden slat balustrade. This is one of the finest examples of this style in the district. The house was built for J. M. Wattawa, a partner in the Urbanek & Wattawa Company, a furniture and undertaker company. The company was originally located at N. 8th Street and New York Avenue, and moved to 107-109 N. 8th Street in 1911. In 2019, owners attached the house to the garage while matching exterior and interior details.
