NOTES
Additional Information:This two story red brick building has a simple brick corbelled cornice that suggests brackets, three single light double hung sash windows on the second floor that are decorated with segmental arches, and a simple metal cornice separating the first and second stories of the building. Three upper story window units have been enclosed. The south storefront of the building is a fairly intact storefront of large show windows, wood apron, and cast iron columns. The entrance is a wood and glass door with a transom. The other storefront has been partially enclosed and has a modern door and show window.

This building has some architectural interest as a good example of the commercial vernacular style of commercial architecture.

This building has housed numerous businesses, the most long term being the Hauer Pain Store, begun as the Albert Hauer Paint Store around the turn of the century.

This building has some historical interest because one of the long time tenants was the Hauer Paint Store, one of the long term businesses in downtown Fond du Lac.
