| Additional Information: | This two story Italianate styled house features a square shaped plan configuration (with an addition), a concrete foundation, an aluminum sided exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled, truncated hip roof. A nearly full-lenght front porch has Tuscan column porch supports, a simple railing and a wooden porch base. The residence is in poor condition. A related building is a garage. Architectural/Engineering Significance: This structure contributes the significance of Nathan Strong Park Historic District under Criterion C as a modest cubical village house of the 1870's fitted out with new first floor windows and a classical style porch in the early 1900's. The house retains its basic historic character inspite of the steel siding that now covers the structure. |
