| Additional Information: | 2012- "The Andrew Jacobi farmstead consists of six structures: a house (47984), a pump house (223011), a barn (47987), a large animal barn (47989), and two sheds (26130 and 223010). All the buildings, including the house, were probably built around 1875, for Andrew Jacobi. The barn (AHI #47987) is oriented with the roof ridge running parallel to the road. The southern portion of the barn has fieldstone walls with heavy-timber framing above. Several doors and windows are located in the basement walls; these have been boarded over. The northern portion of the barn is built of square-hewn logs, most of which have lost their chinking. The southern portion is clad in newer metal roofing, and the northern portion has a historic standing seam metal roof. (The barn door appears to be clad in leftover pieces of the newer metal roofing.) A one-story gabled wing, clad in drop siding and with a metal roof, extends from the southeast corner of the barn." - "STH 57, CTH Q-STH 42", WisDOT ID #4150-17-00", Prepared by GLARC, Inc (2012). |
