| Additional Information: | Clapboard is the exterior fabric on this 1 1/2 story upright and wing. The gabled roof has a front gable wall dormer on the wing. The cornice is boxed and three is a plain frieze under the eave. Windows are 2/2 with entablature heads. There is an entry on the upright and on the enclosed front porch with shed roof on the wing. There is a shed dormer in the rear - See SC 23-17 - for garage. The enclosed front porch addition detracts from the basic character of this home. It is a common style and not significant. The barn/garage has clapboard exterior fabric and a rectangular plan. A gambrel roof has a box cornice. The gable end faces the road and has vertical board siding. See 23-17 for photo. |
