| Additional Information: | THIS ITALIANATE HOUSE HAS BAY WINDOWS FLANKING THE ENTRANCE. THERE IS A ONE-STORY WING TO THE SOUTH. AN IRON FENCE WITH SPIKE PATTERNS RUNS ON THE EAST AND SOUTH OF THE PROPERTY. ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: THIS ITALIANATE STYLE RESIDENCE IS LOCATED NEAR THE BREWERY, SOUTH OF THE CITY. RESURFACING OF THE BUILDING WITH COMPOSITION SHINGLES HAS DESTROYED MUCH OF THE ORIGINAL DETAIL. THE ENTRANCE IS CENTRALLY LOCATED AND FLANKED BY TWO STORY BAYS WHICH CONTAIN PAIRS OF NARROW WINDOWS. THE BUILDING IS TWO STORIES IN HEIGHT WITH A ONE STORY WING ADJOINING THE MAN BLOCK TO THE SOUTH. AN INTERESTING FEATURE IS THE CAST IRON FENCE (SPIKE PATTERN) WHICH MARKS THE PROPERTY TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. HISTORICAL STATEMENT: REQUIRES ADDITIONAL RESEARCH TO DETERMINE IF THIS RESIDENCE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE BREWERY. |
