Bibliographic References:1990: Date of construction: appraisal card River Falls Journal, 30 November 1899: "John Yocum bought lot of SM Rosenquist on the corner of Fourth and Cedar streets on which he is building a barn. He will build a house there, probably of brick, in the spring." RFJ, 5 April 1900: "John Yocum is building a brick veneered house on Fourth Street this summer." RFJ, 28 June 1900: "Mr. Yocum moved to his new house on Fourth Street." RFJ, 26 July 1917: "CA Beckwith moved to the Yocum home on Fourth street." RFJ, 5 September 1935: "Hattie Lovell moved from the former Dodge house on second to the upper flat of the Yocum house on Fourth Street." The 1905 Wisconsin State census identifies Yocum as a stone mason.
