NOTES
Additional Information:The Goerge Rothlisberg House is significant under Criterion C as a good example of Queen Anne style architecture, with classical influences, in Merrill. George Rothlisberg was the owner of a prominent west side grocery and dry goods store as early as 1893. He was located at 414 Grand Avenue, just down the street from his house, which he built between 1900 and 1905. George apparently died by 1936, and his wife Clara continued to live at this address until at least 1945.
