| Additional Information: | This commercial structure is located a block south of the former C.ST.P.M.&O Depot (site 4L/28, 324 Putnam Avenue) and directly across from the Uniroyal plant (site 4L/29 and 5L/2, 799 Wisconsin Street). The corner two story building is faced with brick and features a metal entablature. Segmental arch windows punctuate the second floor, while on the ground floor the openings have been covered. In 1883 the building is listed as "to be" a saloon and grocery. In 1885 and 1889 a saloon occupied the building and in 1897 a vacant store was located on the first floor and hotel rooms on the second. |
