NOTES
Additional Information:This structure contributes to the significance of the East College Avenue Residential Historic District under Criterion C as a notable example of a highly original and compact Craftsman style stuccoed house. A lot of architecture was packed into this exceptionally tall little house with its numerous gables, bay windows and glazed front porch. The house has a craftsman style garage. 2024: This Craftsman house was constructed circa 1910. The two-and a half-story residence is rectangular in plan, with a raised rock-cut concrete foundation and a primary elevation that faces west. The house is clad in stucco with shingling in the half walls of the enclosed porch and narrow clapboard siding in the rear. The side-gabled roof is steeply-pitched and clad in asphalt shingles, with two dormers on the primary façade. The larger dormer is a gabled wall dormer with returned eaves, while the smaller dormer is recessed with an enclosed pediment and a brief balconet in the foreground. The main entrance is located left-of-center in the enclosed porch, flanked by rock-cut concrete block columns that are also found at the porch corners. In between are banks of 3-over-1 double hung windows with transoms above. Windows throughout are 1-over-1 double hung sashes, found singly and in pairs within plain wooden surrounds.
