| Additional Information: | Demolished August 1984. Constructed in the mid-19th century after the fire of March, 1868, the facade of this brick two-story commercial structure is articulated by a corbeled brick cornice, a recessed panel, and decorated by projecting metal segmental arched window heads. Iron pilasters remain to frame the store front that has refractory glass window transoms popular at the end of the 19th century. This small brick building is typical of the rather modest brick commercial structure constructed to replace the earlier wooden establishments that were extremely succeptible to fire. |
