NOTES
Additional Information:2024: This large barn is located east of the house and oriented on a north/south axis. Its predecessor barn had reportedly burned in 1942 and was replaced by the extant barn that is notable today for its modern metal siding and ribbed metal roof. Additionally has the southern two-thirds of the barn’s interior been remodeled with the removal of the hay mow and the installation of metal siding throughout. This part of the barn, which currently houses two semi-trailer cabs, among various other things, is now heated to about 55° during the wintertime. A significant portion of the barn’s south endwall was also removed and a large, overhead garage door installed. The northern one-third of the barn retains its hay mow, though cattle stanchions below are gone. A perpendicular wing extending east from the barn was also erected and has been reroofed with the same ribbed metal material on the main barn. It is uncertain when the wing was built, though its walls are constructed of smooth-faced, concrete blocks that suggest possible construction prior to the 1942 fire that destroyed the primary north/south structure.
